Reported Speech


Lösung auswählen und auf "prüfen" klicken.

Zwei Dinge ändern sich, wenn ich die direkte Rede in der Gegenwart in die indirekte Rede der Vergangenheit (reported speech) setze.
    a) die Zeitform des Verbs ==> aus Gegenwart wird Vergangenheit
      b) das Personalpronomen (persönliche Fürwörter: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they) und die Possessivpronomen (besitzanzeigende Fürwörter: my, your, his, her, its, our, your, their) müssen meistens geändert werden. Sonst ist nicht klar, wer und was gemeint ist.

      1) A young boy said to his mother: “I am very tired.”A young boy said to his mother that very tired
      2) When they were writing a big test Ralph said: “I have a bad headache.”When they were writing a big test Ralph said that a bad headache
      3) The taxidriver said: “In Hamburg there are no yellow taxis.” The taxidriver said that in Hamburg there no yellow taxis.”
      4) He told me: “You can take two sausages.”He told me that take two sausages.”
      5) Mrs Simpson said to us: “You can put your schoolbags onto this chair.”Mrs Simpson said to us that put your schoolbags onto this chair.”
      6) The teacher said: “You are lazy.”The teacher said that lazy.”
      7) At school Helen said to her girlfriend: “We have a new subject.”At school Helen said to her girlfriend that a new subject.”
      8) When we had dinner someone said: “Your beef is delicious.”When we had dinner someone said that beef delicious.”
